Just got back from the convention late last night…what a weekend!  As always, it was over in the blink of an eye.  This was the 3rd annual convention in Lehigh Valley, which is put on by my friend Steve Lemak of The Quillian in Allentown, PA.  In addition to taking pics whenever I can, I also help out by running the tattoo contests and helping at the stencil booth.  It’s always a blast and this year my souvenir tattoo was a fleur de lis (my tribute to New Orleans) by Kernal Tubbs.  So, without further ado, here are my photos!

On February 28, several of my friends’ bands played at the Ottobar, so I shot a couple hundred photos of them in action.  Here is album 1 and here is album 2.

On March 6 and 7, I traveled up to New Hope, PA to visit some friends for the soft opening of their hot sauce shop, Suzie’s Hot Shoppe.  I only had a small window of time to shoot, and I wanted to make sure I took plenty of photos of the shop itself.  To see my photos of the trip, click here.

On March 18, I shot for Baltimore Foodies, at a wonderful restaurant in Mt. Vernon called Abacrombie.  The food was amazing, and the restaurant itself was truly beautiful.  Click here to see my photos from the evening.

Over the weekend, on March 21, I shot some photos for my neighbor, for his CD and promo materials for his solo project, My Useless Self.  I shot them in my basement, very quickly, so there are only a few images.

Last night I shot another session for Dr. Sketchy’s, which featured contortionist and performance artist, Rebecca Nagle.  You can see my photos from last night here.

Coming up in April, I’ll be photographing a wedding for my friend’s sister, the Lehigh Valley Tattoo Convention, hopefully another Baltimore Foodies party, and at least one Dr. Sketchy session.  I also plan to hit a few Farmer’s Markets to get some shots of beautiful spring produce.  There’s also a bachelorette party in April, but if we have any fun at all, those photos won’t be posted

I am so excited to post about my first exhibit, which will be at the Ottobar this May.  The opening reception is Friday, May 7 from 6-9pm.  It’s free and open to all, there will be drink specials, and I will have some yums for nomming.  My friend Matt (DJ Iron Maben) has graciously agreed to DJ, and will be playing metal, hardcore, thrash, etc.  I will post updates as they become available, including a flyer that is currently in production.

Here in Baltimore we’re almost finished digging out from under about 4 feet of snow…which has both inspired and hindered me.  I can’t go far from home, but on the other hand, the house looks beautiful under a blanket of ice and snow.
